Is your music secure with Raginpit?

We have a secured Shoutcast server and secured flash widgets for tuning in and they are viral so they are placed throughout the net for people to listen to safely. All music is handled carefully, legally, and responsibly with everyone on our staff. If you want your songs to air on our radio station(http://rpm-radio.com) without worrying about leaks, set up a profile on our site, http://rpm-bands.com. You'll have a digital store built in for selling music and merch and it's all controlled by you through your Pay Pal. Our profiles are protected against leeching.

Selling songs on our website is set where 10 cents goes to Raginpit for bandwidth and server space, and 90 cents goes to you. Its handled by our database, so no human interference there either. When you upload your songs they become available to RPM-Radio through our database. Full stats on everything. There is no service charge for selling your merch, its hard enough to sell so... lol

Raginpit is like oatmeal... it's good for you.

Greetings fellow Metal heads,

It's been awhile since I have done this so forgive my rustiness.

As always, things have been super busy at the Raginpit camp, so busy in fact that you won't even recognize it. Seriously. So the last time I talked to you guys, there was this whole Ning fiasco and we had to change sites, blah, blah, blah. You may have even checked out our new and permanent home in its various stages, but if you haven't recently then: 1) how dare you not visit Raginpit at least once a day in its various mediums and 2) you just really need to check it out.

Why you may ask? Well there are just a few reasons. RPM-Bands, RPM-Radio, RPM-TV, and Raginpit Magazine. (Like you need to know anything else.)

First, on RPM-Bands we Metal heads have designed a community and networking platform specifically for Metal heads. You know how we always tell you to go find your own Metal? Well, we've just made that easier for you. With simple search functions you can find bands that sound like your favorite act or are from your area or start with the letter "T" - I think you get it... You aren't bombarded with sucky bands saying, "add me, add me, add me!" You are free to make friends with and be a fan of whomever you please - you're in control. Oh, and you can listen to some badass Metal on RPM-Radio while you make yourself at home on your fully customizable profile.

Bands don't get left out either. In fact, bands get hooked up. Bands have the ability to control their entire business from RPM-Bands. By uploading your music, you get air-play from several stations on the site, you get free EPK's (electronic press kits), and you can sell your music, merch, and tickets to shows. There's even a handy dandy events calendar that posts your events for everyone to view. And because we are being asked repeatedly for banners, we've decided to make that easy for you too. Just check out the Banners -N- More section, grab what you want and post it anywhere.

Speaking of posts, be on the look out for nifty little buttons that will allow to post your info on to other sites like MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook.

If your band is wondering how in the hell to put all this stuff together, you can check out Metal 2.0 - Tips from the Pros. This was designed to offer tips, insight, and tools to those seeking to go to the next level, but just aren't quite sure on how to get there. None of the contributing authors to this segment have any less than 10 years experience in the industry. These people have been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, and probably sold it you at another show. And guess what? They are taking time out of their busy lives to help you. Kind of cool, huh?

RPM-TV is now streaming live interviews, concerts, and music videos. We understand that surfing the web and clicking that mouse is a tiring and difficult task, so go ahead, take a break and check out a video or two. We won't tell, promise.

This brings us to the latest and greatest happenings from where all this was spawned, Raginpit Magazine. We still have your favorites like The Shred Report, RaginBitch, and Hardwired. New to this zine and launching soon is a segment we are calling Metal for Life. We want to take a different approach and focus on the lifestyle of Metal heads. Topics can range from stereotypes suffered by Metal heads to the Metal parents who are looked at funny for bringing their little hell spawn to OzzFest. Metal is a lifestyle and it is often misunderstood. We want to shed a light on what it is to truly be Metal while giving a big, fat, middle finger to those who are too simple minded to understand us.

Raginpit is the one stop shop for everything Metal. Don't believe me? Then check it out for yourself.

Until next time...

Recent Upgrades To RPM-Bands

How can I put this? Wow, that was a major fucking job! I think Lando put it best, "That Metal came from RPM-Bands! That thing's operational!" At least he would have said that if he got a good blast of the fierce brutality that's been filling up this website. We very much thank you for all of that.Well it's hard to tell you everything going on without overloading you with lots of tech drivel. What we are going to do over the upcoming months will be to make several small videos on how to use all the features we plugged in. The platform we are using here allows us to pretty much make anything for the user profiles and throughout the main site. - Post to Myspace NEWKeep an eye out for extra buttons in blogs, events, songs, and site articles for posting to Myspace (and coming soon posting to Facebook & Twitter). This feature will allow you to post pretty much everything you find here and will make it super easy to post to bulletins, blogs and your "About Me" on Myspace. Everything has been upgraded to help make sure your information is registered quickly on search engines to make it easier to sell music and merchandise. EPK's have been cleaned up and designed to carry more info so professionals looking them over learn everything they need to know about you quickly. You can sell tickets to events and set up promotional codes to do sales and set up bundle packages for fans. Like I said, a lot of stuff. Our profiles are fully customizable now and you can make some really bitchin' pages. Check the list below, but before you do, I think this would also be a good time to mention to all you page artist out there - if you have a design you want to show off, hit the contact link at the bottom of our site here and tell us about it. We will start featuring really awesome pages in our "Backstage" section. If you have any questions or need some help on working with our built in custom designer, surf over to our forum FAQ area. We now have new and really awesome music players branded to our site! This will help you look really wicked out there presenting and selling mp3's. All players are embeddable and should be posted everywhere you think fans might like to help support and purchase your Metal. They also come with full display stats to see how well you are doing and Buy Now buttons, so you're covered. *Tip: If you're on Ning sites... Set up a group specifically for CD listening sessions and post your new music player in the main content box. Then invite all your friends to come join, listen, and give their opinions. It's a sik way to entertain, get fan feed back, and you're most likely going to score a few sales. Well I'm not going to keep you. I'm sure you're all anxious to check out all the new toys, menus, and such. One last thing I would like to tell you about is our Banners & More page. We get a lot of people asking us for banners to make their Myspace and other social pages ultimately Metal. We have you covered now and you have a lot of different toys to choose from. CLICK HERE and let's all get famous... Thanks so much...Metal4Life! ~Johnny
